Jedi Micael Pitoon wins 2nd MMCCI & GMG Chess Kiddies Tournament 2025

At the ultimate conclusion marked by extreme tension, Jedi Micael Pitoon emerged victorious at the 2nd MMCCI & GMG Chess Tournament 2025 held on last February 22, 2025 at St Francis 4 Covered Court, Binan, Laguna, overcoming in a tiebreak situation.

Jedi demonstrated exceptional skill and strategic brilliance throughout the tournament, finishing with an impressive score of 6/7 points together with Aljur Ferolino, both hungry for triumph. However, it was Jedi’s superior tiebreak by winner over the other.

From the very start, the 4th seed Jedi showcased exceptional strategic acumen and deep concentration, setting the tone with decisive victories. He won against Brihnna Mackenzy Gonzales, Alden Shawn Dimatangihan in the 1st and 2nd rounds, lost in the 3rd round with Julian Miguel Caceres and won his last 4 games against Karl Jerson Blando, Earl Nygel Cabalhin, Aljur Ferolino, and Alexander Steven Manzano collecting a total 6/7 points.

The final round against the 4 players who are eager to be triumphant in the event.

The final match, witnessed by an enthusiastic audience, encapsulated the thrill of chess competition. Under the keen eyes of spectators, the 4 players namely Jedi, Aljur, Alexander and Vince Raphael with having 5/6 are eager to be triumphant in the event but Jedi maintained his calm demeanor and executed a striking combination against Alexander, ensuring his unblemished record and having superior tiebreak of winner over the other against Aljur who won against Vince Raphael.

A very nice atmosphere, a fresh air from beautiful natures, a lot of chess fanatics eagerly watching each move as strategies unfolded on the board. This event not only highlighted the competitive spirit of chess but also fostered a sense of community among players and fans alike.
