The 4th Search for the Next Chess Master 2025

Mark your calendar as we're excited to announce that Dumaguete City Chess Club, renowned for fostering chess talent, will conduct again another chess tournament "The 4th Search for the Next Chess Master 2025 on January 11, 2025 at Osca Bldg, Daro, Dumaguete City". This event aims at discovering and nurturing potential chess masters. The tournament is designed to be inclusive and accessible, highlighting the club's commitment to promoting chess culture.

The tournament featured a 5-round tournament, with each game lasting 30 minutes plus a 30-second increment per move. This structure aligns with FIDE standards, ensuring a competitive yet fair environment. The implementation of FIDE ratings makes the tournament appealing to serious chess enthusiasts and aspiring professionals.

Open to all players of Negros Oriental and nearby regions provided they are active members of NCFP.

  • Champion - 2000 + Trophy
  • 2nd Place - 1500 + Trophy
  • 3rd Place - 1000 + Trophy
  • Top 1st Female - 250 + Medal
  • Top 2nd Female - 250 + Medal
  • Top 1st u18 - 250 + Medal
  • Top 2nd u18 - 250 + Medal
  • Top 1st u16 - 250 + Medal
  • Top 2nd u16 - 250 + Medal
  • Top 1st u14 - 250 + Medal

Special Prize - Best Game of the Tournament (2 winners)

Registration fee P150, deadline on January 10, 2025.

Players check in at 7:30 a.m., and round 1 starts at 8:00 a.m. We will only accept online registration, and on-site registration will not be tolerated since we want to start early.

2. Pay the entry fee by Gcash at 09171669928, Mr. Jonathan Catayas. Please indicate the player's name in the Gcash message.

3. We can help new, inactive, and expired NCFP members with their updated membership applications.
