The Coach Gerald Ferriol Birthday Open Non-Master Chess Tournament 2021 finished with amazing result held on December 26, 2021 at Centro Mall, Cabuyao, Laguna.
Throughout the tournament, Tiu's speed, tactical skill and unwavering composure were evident in his gameplay, in the first three-rounds he won against Christian Ace Alcera, Rico Belicena, Jerry Areque, then drew with Kevin Arquero and Tyrone Delos Santos and finishing-off Richie Jocson and Jhulio Goloran in the 6th and 7th rounds pocketing the top prize and trophy.
