NM Elwin Retanal won 6th GMG Chess Monthly Online 12-round Tournament
The 6th GMG Chess Online Tournament finished in a 4-way tie. NM Elwin Retanal, Kevin Arquero, Vladimir Gonzales and Reynaldo Abaa with the same 9/12 points.
Throughout the tournament, Elwin's speed, tactical skill, experienced, resilience and unwavering composure were evident in his gameplay. In the last round, both Elwin and Vladimir were fighting for the first place, but agreed in a mutual draw after move 1. While Kevin Arquero and Reynaldo Abaa got their own victory to tie for 1st-placed.
In the end, NM Elwin Retanal secured the top spot with superior tiebreak of 62. Kevin Arquero got the 2nd placed with 60.5, Vladimir Gonzales got the 3rd placed with 59.25 and Reynaldo Abaa settled for fourth with 46.5. They received P1,500, P1,000 P750 and P500 + certificate each respectively.

5th placed: Harison Maamo with P500 + certificate
6th placed: Omm Aditya Khadanga with P500 + certificate
7th placed: Helmich Marilag with P250 + certificate
8th placed: NM Julius Sinangote with P250 + certificate
9th placed: Jandee Honrada with P250 + certificate
10th placed: Rommel Valdez with P250 + certificate
Not to mention the 11th-20th placers with with P200 + certificate, 21st-35th placers with with P100 + certificate and 36th-50th placers with with P100 + certificate
