The 22nd Binan Chess Association Tournament 2026 dated August 09, 2026 at Malaban Elem School was reschedule on August 30, 2026 at GMG Chess Club, Binan, due to severe flood, even that happened, no one can stop us with our tournament. We witnessed a remarkable performance by Zyrlle Matthew Tiamson, who clinched victory with 6/7 points and superior buchholz of 31 in a triple tie situation with Aljhur Ferolino and Salahodin Comayog . This month tournament was particularly challenging, drawing top-tier players from all 24 Brgys in Binan who are eager to claim the title.

His victory was characterized by an unblemished record through the first five matches (5/5), Valentin Manzo, Anthony Briel Cristobal, John Paulo Ferriol, Aljhur Ferolino, Roberto Azul Jr where he exhibited strategic brilliance and captured full points against each of his opponents.

In what was arguably the most pivotal game, his final match ended in a win with Yosef Caleb Repalda, securing his top spot in the tournament in a superior buchholz . This brilliant win not only showcased his astute endgame management but also demonstrated his maturity in ensuring tournament victory without unnecessary risk.

The atmosphere was fully-aircon inside the GMG Chess Club eagerly watching each move as strategies unfolded on the board. This event not only highlighted the competitive spirit of chess but also fostered a sense of community among players and fans alike.
