Dale Bernardo won 5th GMG Chess Monthly Online 12-round Tournament
The 5th GMG Chess Online Tournament finished with astonishing result. Dale Bernardo bounced back with 9 winning streaks after 2 losses in the first 3 rounds and secured the title.
Throughout the tournament, Dale's speed, tactical skill, fighting spirit, resilience, determination and unwavering composure were evident in his gameplay. Dale started slow by losing 2 games in his first 3 rounds but he bounced back with unbelievable 9 winning streaks with 10/12 points and grabbed the 1st placed with P500 + certificate. Sherwin Tiu got the 2nd spot in a 3-way tie for 2nd-4th with 9/12 points having a superior tiebreak of 58.75, IM Eric Labog Jr in the 3rd place with 56.75 and fourth Jerome Villanueva with 54.25. They received P500, P400 P300 and P200 + certificate each respectively.
